A Brain Tumour Support Group provides the opportunity for you to meet with other people living with a brain tumour or caring for someone diagnosed with a brain tumour. Group members may range from being newly diagnosed, to living with a brain tumour for some time.

Hunter Brain Tumour Network: Meet first Wednesday of each month at 11am. Location is South Leagues Club, Llewellyn Street, Merewether; there is ample car parking, and ramps for disabled access. Meetings are informal and patients, family members, carers and those whose lives have been impacted by a brain tumour are welcome. After our informal meeting, there is the opportunity for participants to stay on and socialise over a coffee or lunch.The interest of health professionals is appreciated in referring people. James Crofts Hope Foundation: The monthly support group is held on the last Tuesday of every month and is facilitated by the Neurological Council of WA. Check the website for details.

Online – Australia National
OzBrain Tumour: A Web based/Internet support group for patients and care givers. Some of the group members have lots of experience, all of them have some experience — the idea here is that the learning and support and friendship with people who share your situation may give you strength and confidence to deal with your own situation.

Cancer Council Brain Tumour Patients Telephone Support Group: Tel 13 11 20.
Being telephone-based, you can join the group from anywhere in Australia. All you need is an hour, a telephone and a quiet, private space. Participation is free and confidential. Two trained co-facilitators coordinate the groups. Groups meet the FIRST and THIRD Monday of each month, and runs for an hour.
